If you are out of status and have the ability to fix it, take action. Find out if you are eligible for any immigration status and pursue that.
If you need advice, seek it only from a qualified attorney. There are many people out there who will give advice, even charge for it, but only attorneys (and certain DHS Authorized Representative supervised by attorneys) are both qualified and legally empowered to give legal advice. Don’t be a victim.
